Inspiration:
Project Information:
For this project I wanted to capture the design style of Marc Newson. I started by researching and understanding his designs. Throughout most of his designs he incorporates an hourglass figure so I wanted to use that style in my lamp. Other key points of his are designing for the future and individuality.
Ideation:
I began the ideation process through sketching. I had pieces of wood laser cut for my design shape.
Goal:
I wanted to design a lamp that had certain connection with you. The color of the light changes through the day to tell the time. It also gradually emits a light to wake you up in the morning.
